He was recruited/offered by Tennessee, Auburn, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia and others before ultimately committing and enrolling at Tennessee.

Just two months after arrival though, Washington (and three others) were arrested for drugs in the dorms at Tennessee. As a result, all 4 were suspended for Spring practices.

As a result, Washington chose to transfer away from Tennessee and ended up at a community college for a year.

So there's certainly talent there but also some red flags (not just the drugs in the dorms, but also the choice to transfer rather than work his way back the way others did)
