The question was along the lines of - do you think violent video games might play a role in this?

Honestly - maybe. Not a HUGE role, mind you, but they could be a variable. If someone is predisposed to violence due to other variables, maybe violent video games pushes them further in that direction. I don't think anyone is saying that people who are violent are ONLY violent due to video games and if we eliminated them all violence would end.

But I think to tell yourself that no amount of playing violent video games will ever impact the behavior of someone is probably a little naive.
