violence can have an impact on a mentally ill person. I definitely don't disagree with that. I think I just sometimes just get tired of the hate video games specifically get and the OP specifically was bringing them up. When you break it down like you are doing, most of the entertainment we choose to consume (whether it is video games, movies, TV, etc.) is not ideal for us and there are better things we can be doing, but having some hobbies and recreational time is also good as well and video games are one of things many people (who are normal, healthy, good people) choose to spend their leisure time doing. That is all I am trying to defend. 🙂
