I had 3 HUGE Oak trees on my property and they attracted the birds. My dobie D'Artagnan would stalk them and was fast enough to snatch them out of the air. He particularly enjoy killing the babies that fell out of nest that provoked the whole National Guard of which he would usually snatch an adult or 2 out of the air. I encouraged this because all the birds do is poop and I hated power washing my pool and cool deck.

But then I bought Chickens. So unfortunately I couldn't free range them in my pastures So had to build a large run for them. He did manage to get 2 chickens that managed to escape over the years.
