Who seriously cares? It’s a mascot. Let’s take a good one for example
Do you think Suns fans and players really care that their mascot is the sun? Do you think they sit there and say to themselves, “I know it’s 120° outside, but at least we have this really cool mascot that matches our location?”
I love the Jazz nickname. I never spend a second thinking about it unless people like you bring it up. I think of Hot Rod Hundley saying “let’s bring ‘em on, how bout them Jazz”.
The name now has historical meaning. It’s fun to think back at the people that played for this franchise all through the years, whether that was in Utah or New Orleans. You associate them with the Jazz. You don’t think about music.

Jazz is a good name and so is Lakers. Who cares? Boggles my mind that it bothers people as much as it does
