I believe the idea is by monopolizing “blue bloods” they demand a proportionally

higher percentage of the market. In other words, they expect to take over the CFB market, have the other 3 become non-factors and just share all of the CFB $ between the 2 conferences. A duopoly.
For example, if P5 CFB normally makes $100 mil and the 2 conferences were making $25m a piece, earlier, now they’ll each be making $50m a piece.
