Think, if 5 power conferences comprising more than half of the FBS couldn’t shut out the G5, then how do you suggest 2 conferences with less members can shut out even more teams? That’s not rhetorical. I’m interested in your answer. Shut us out of big money? Ok. Shut us out of opportunity to fight for a NC? Naw. It ain’t happening. You could say that they have a defacto shutout by controlling money, but with so few teams, there will be plenty of talent outside of those 2 mega conferences to compete.
