We're talking about things that likely wouldn't take effect until 2024 so it makes little sense to not have them have a say.

It could be that way and I get what the commissioner said about recent meetings but I'm guessing all items in that recent meeting were about the upcoming season only...so I don't take those words as binding that the 4 newcomers get no vote on further expansion.

Unless someone has contract specifics that address that exact topic they can share I doubt I could be convinced.

That said, I would welcome Utah being denied and BYU having plausible deniability about keeping them out. I would much rather have the conference mates say no and BYU be able to say we wanted you but had no vote 😉
