Yes. Hard to admit, but Utah became equal to BYU on the field around the late
90s. Since Utah has been in the Pac12 they have done amazingly well, partly due to the PAC12’s decline, but nonetheless they’ve excelled.
They’ve even established themself as a legitimate P5 team and surpassed traditional P5 teams such as Wazzu, Cal, and OrSt.
They did that by pushing BYU down winning the recruiting battle and also trying to make us irrelevant by going as far as cancelling games against us (which I’ll admit we are now doing to USU but I’ll argue for different reasons).
