I think it's http://www.texasonline.com or something like that. I could be wrong, but I think they tell you EVERYTHING you need to know before you go. I think it also helps to pick and choose what DMV you hit as well. When we moved here from Utah we went to the Irving (SOUTH Irving) DMV. We were the only people who spoke English as a first language and waited forever.

I went to Carrolton's DMV a few months ago because I lost my license and it was twice as fast (I only waited like 20 minutes). You live in Mckinney I think, so the choices are smaller I'm sure. That stinks though.
