Cold hollow cider mill in Waterbury between Stowe and Burlington is best
And they do them year round. A second best is the Shelburne orchards (go on a weeknight, less busy)
Also I completely forgot the Shelburne museum - that's a must-do. It has a little bit of everything and there is definitely something there you'll find amazing and wonder why the heck it's in Vermont.
