DJROSS Intervention Needed
Drive along Lake Champlain to the South and see the Maritime Museum in Vergennes. Why this may interest you is because
what most people don't realize is that the British actually built Frigates and transported them along the Richelieu which is an offshoot of the St Lawrence River. They were using Quebec and Montreal to build and than assemble Man O War Frigates that were Sailing on Lake Champlain. Amazing stories. If you read Nathaniel Philbricks "Valient Ambition" which is one of the best resources on the man that is Benedict Arnold, you will learn about some really wild battle action that went on on Lake Champlain before Arnold turned to the British side. He was about as ballsy as you could get back then.
