QB - their star QB and future top 5 pick played
OL - hard to find, but I believe their entire starting offensive line played
OL - Josh Fryar missed game - played total of 88 snaps last year
OL - Harry Miller missed game - played in 2 games last year
RB - Their top 2 rushers, Henderson and Williams, both played
TE - Ruckert, top TE played
WR - Their top WR on the season in terms of both receptions and yards, played and torched Utah. They had #2 and #3 sit out, but the guys who played in their place, including Marvin Harrison Jr, will play in the NFL.
I don’t have time to do the same for defense, but I believe they were down 3 starters.
Let’s not overstate things and let’s give that Ohio State squad credit. The offense was complete aside from 2 WR (and they had their #1 guy).
I doubt you really care to have a logical discussion, but in case you do, I figured this was helpful to share.
They certainly did not lose 28 of their best players. That’s a completely fabricated stat.
As for Oregon State, they played well and they were 6-0 at home last year. That was a tough game for Utah.
