A $2B escalator clause in a 7 year deal equals $286M per year. Divided by 4 that and it is $71.4M per new school. BTW the existing deal of $8B over 7 years divided by 16 schools is the exact same amount. In essence, the B1G can add 4 schools on a pro rata basis. No dilution. It can add ANYONE it wants. The additive value question is moot now. I think once ND announces its TV deal or plans, the B1G moves to add Washington, Oregon, and Stanford. If ND doesn’t join, Cal gets the nod. It is over rover for the PAC 12.
