I come from a multigenerational family of huge BYU supporters both financially and as huge fans. I don't want to see him leave because of my love of BYU and seeing him play and root for the team I love. And I understand fans frustrations. But as I originally posted yday, this isn't a situation where he is flaming coaches or other players. You and others don't think that the easier route would be to stay? Coaches are on record as saying he is the second best playmaker on the team after Puka. Its a complex decision that was made by him and his wife. Let the kid go. The judgmental opinions of several here the last couple days, while not unexpected, is disappointing when it bleeds over to characterizations of his moral judgment and situation.
Also I know for a fact there has been zero discussion directly or indirectly with Utah coaches or NIL donors/alumni. Utah would be a good place for him and he may or may not end up there. But that had no impact on his decision.
