This is a decision that almost no college player has ever made, so it's gonna
be hard to expect people to just "let it go" within 24 hours. It also IS a selfish move. Whether it's justifiably selfish (like many transfers are viewed) or not, people absolutely are going to judge that. Expecting them not too is absolutely naive. They will eventually let it go and the judgments aren't really that overly harsh. But this kid is walking out on his team, literally, DURING THE SEASON because he isn't getting the type/amount/whatever play he wants. If you aren't this kid's friend/dad/uncle, etc, and just a fan of the team he is hurting (a contributor leaves 3 games in ABSOLUTELY hurts that team) you'd likely have a perspective similar to everyone else's, today.


And I haven't seen anything overboard about his moral character. I'm sure there's some stuff out there, though.
