"Shutting down" likely refers to yards given up in the 1st quarter vs. the rest of the game.
Midway through the 3rd quarter, they were still in the game enough to run the ball.
Close to 100yds rushing in the 1st quarter (IIRC) and finish the night with 124yds rushing. We shut it down pretty well after adjustments were made.
