someone has no substantial argument otherwise.

Was Gordon B Hinkley self righteous when he wrote his book “Standing for Something,” or did he get a pass on the self righteous meter because he is the prophet?

Standing up for morals is not always self righteous by default, and is a tired, overused veil, often proclaimed in order to cover one’s own follies.
