Nothing wrong with having this standard.

I'd say give grace to those who don't live up to your standard of language and it works out best.    

I grew up working a lot of manual labor jobs.  I didn't cuss much because my parents taught me not to (their families would cuss so they wanted their kids not to).  

Pretty soon, co-workers would recognize that I didn't cuss and their cussing volume went down around me.  That isn't always the case (i.e. like at a football game isn't the same as working day-in-day-out with a co-worker).

There's a time and a place to talk to people about changing their behavior.  I'd say, if you want to talk to someone about asking them to change their language, you'd have to do it in a private way, so as not to have them think you're trying to show them up or judge them.  Idk, just my two cents.
