He will never be a power back, but he probably has the most upside at the position if he can learn the other aspects of the position. He made some nice cuts, had good balance and obviously has good burst and top end speed. I think our other 2 backs likely get tackled for a 6-7 yard gain. He burst through that hole and almost took it 70 yards to the house.
Our 2 primary backs are averaging around 3 yards a carry through 1/3 of the season. What do we have to lose? Maybe lesser pass protection? We don't know how good he is at ball security. Other than that we should give him plenty of run against Utah State and see how we do.
