I suspect our defensive metrics really won't drop all that much because the measures are based on efficiency, and USU's offense was not all that efficient. They needed a ton of plays to get the number of yards and points they did. Most of the CB handwringing over our defense is being grossly exaggerated and is not based on factual analysis.

We have some issues on that side of the ball, to be sure. But they're not nearly as bad as people are saying.
