I haven’t watched enough of Talfrey to know his potential, but I’ve seen enough of Hanneman to say he shouldn’t be playing. He’s not very good in coverage or tackling. As to earlier points on safety alignment, I think that’s mostly on the coaches for having them line up so deep. Harper does seem to get downhill faster than the others. So did Chaz when he was a safety. I don’t think the coaches want the free safety to crash down on the run game as they use them as a true safety to prevent the big play down the field.
