Who is actually cornering all that hard in their SUVs? Few Launches?
So the Model Y performance will give you a great launch and 1/4 mile about 40 times on a single battery charge before you start to notice a difference. . . Even after you notice the difference, the Model Y is still crushing it.

For 70K you get a SUV with tons of space for a family of 5 to road trip.
But the power is amazing
For engine RPMs < 4800, you get 500 ft-lbs torque
For engine RPMs > 4800, you get 455 Horsepower

Honestly that kind of power would make Tim the Toolman Taylor salivate and grunt.

Also, I don't think most people buy SUVs for their amazing track mode. All that matters is straightline speed/acceleration with the ability to handle typical curves in the road. Tesla does absolutely fine on this.

Reading your post again I am thinking you probably should go test drive a Tesla and get a feel for what it is actually like driving one.
