by refusing to fire Tuiaki. We'll see what happens in the offseason. But I think BYU's path back to relevance is an easier one than Colorado's. There are strong cultural reasons for going to BYU that Colorado simply doesn't have. It most often gets at least a foot in the door.
That is NOT a Pollyanna-ish refusal to confront the facts. Nor is it a devil-may-care assumption that everything is fine and will work out just dandy. It is simply stating that the path IS there. In fact, I think BYU football is on the razors's edge. Will the Big 12 provide plenty of money? It sure will. But will BYU become an Oregon State or will it become an Arkansas?
