I remember so many of Bronco's defenses just getting BLOWN UP! In our quest for perfection year, Florida State came into our house,... at altitude... and destroyed us.

We were ranked 7th in the nation. That Florida State team finished the year 7-6. So they weren't anything special. They tore us up 54-28... and it wasn't as close as the scoreboard would lead you to believe.

I also remember getting beat by Notre Dame at Notre Dame. Charlie Weis and Bray Quinn. We were 3-3 going into the game. Irish were 4-2. Brady Quinn got 6 TD's on us. Just ate us up. At halftime the reporter asked Charlie Weis if he was going to keep doing all the short passes and Weis said: "If they keep blitzing like that we will."

Look, I love Bronco as a person. I loved him as a coach. I think he did great things for the University. I loved that he wanted to do Firesides and be involved more in the church community. I loved his accountability. I loved how the players were so aggressive. And I think most any Bronco player would agree that they would run through a wall for Bronco.

I just don't ever remember him being an X's and O's guy except for against the triple option run by Air Force and Georgia Tech.
