It can feel overwhelmingly negative. They probably shouldn’t come on here but they do.
The remedy? Criticism is fine if it’s reasonable. Showing concern and expressing that current circumstances are unacceptable are fine. Attacks, name calling, personal insults, etc. are no bueno. No matter if what you are pointing out is true, it just kills fan/team relationships. This does not help the players or the program and it doesn’t force changes.
Do you care more about BYU getting better or getting your social media fix? That is a pretty good barometer of each of us as a fan.
Unfortunately, there are many on CB who are incredibly immature and have zero desire to be a better fan. So, these posts fall on the deaf ears of those need to internalize it. Many of the comments show a complete lack of self awareness. Yep, we have free speech and you can say what you want, but it doesn’t mean it’s good for you, the team, or our fan base. Do we choose to be constructive or destructive just to satisfy our frustration?
Here’s to hoping it might sink in some day.
