If they were going to require a 12 year GOR or something, then yeah, it would be a nightmare. But they've already indicated they prefer to keep it relatively short (maybe 6 years?)
So at that point, Washington/Oregon don't have a lot of options. They can't go to the B1G since the B1G doesn't yet want them.
So they can choose to sign a shorter-term GOR with the PAC or...what?
Go to the Big 12 instead...where they'd have to sign a GOR and likely have stiffer exit penalties?
Not have a GOR and torpedo the value of the contract? Leading to other PAC teams going to the Big 12 and Oregon/Washington being in the same situation as above?
GOR shouldn't be an issue because they don't really have other options at the moment.
