In the past UVU was never trying to be competitive with BYU athletically

However, now they are. You'd better get used to the fact that in sports in which both field teams UVU is going to not only be competitive, they may end up superior. They are building fine facilities and have a much bigger recruiting base. They also don't have the honor code.

UVU is Utah’s open enrollment university. They aren’t remotely close to BYU.
