That is a bad take. They had a good season and winning back to back conference championships is certainly commendable. It’s rare in college football to do that.

At the end of the day you have to judge the team that was on field right? It would be weird to say “team x lost but only because of injuries, if they would have had their major players they may have won so I will still rank them high.”

If ap poll voters are doing that they should get their vote taken away. The results on the field should matter.

Again, Utah had 4 losses and no out of conference p5 wins. I understand that some losses are different than others. All of k states losses were to ranked teams. 3 of which finished in the top ten. Aren’t those losses “better” than utahs?
