Of nursing unions and the whole nurses are heroes nonsense (see the post below). You’re in the crosshairs of the nurses below you and critical docs above you. You’re also replaceable in admins eye so they’re not going to have your back. You actually have to make clinical decisions so you have at least some skin in the liability game.
