Honestly, Healthcare as a whole is pretty thankless. Nurses may be thanked more (definitely debatable), but I think that would only be because they’re with the patients for a greater amount of time and therefore have more time to receive a thank you. The hospital will buy the nurses chick-fil-a once a year and act like they’ve shown sufficient gratitude for the year.
I felt way more like just a replaceable cog in the machine as a floor nurse than in my current role as an NP. But really everyone should probably get way more support and recognition. Definitely not disagreeing with you there.
