People losing their job doesn't make me happy, but when companies have bloat (which includes employees who don't seem to be doing a lot), then that company's cost of doing business is higher than it should be and that usually gets passed on to consumers. When these companies trim back to services actually needed, it is better for the general market and for the consumer generally. So I am happy that Google is eliminating positions and workers who don't seem to be doing much. That said, I hope she finds productive employment and that she provides commensurate value to that company.
