Correct on Pope rolling the dice on project guys with NBA type length and athleticism. We likely have too many projects playing prime roles in the rotation. The biggest thing this teams needs is bball IQ. Hall and Saunders have it but they don't have the experience to go with it yet. Sometimes when I watch GG out there I just do a face palm and shake my head, he just doesn't have it. Starting to see Jax figure things out (avg 10 pts a game during conference play and hitting 40.5% from 3)
Waterman seems to be losing his confidence and fading the further along we get into the season. We needed a lot more from him than we've been getting (similar to Lohner the past 2 yrs). He could still play a big part in the growth of the team going forward if he can figure things out.
