Because the automotive guys were short on chips for a little while they started cranking out base models and have a pile of them that need to push through inventory. They just want to burn through that inventory before they release all the higher end models again.

It's more likely a wiring harness shortage than chip. It's affecting all high end cars. All the manufacturers are
