Every conference needs are different. Can't Argue with that choice bc BIG is killing it in the money
And viewership game. That move was still in the cable market era.
But outside LA and NYC, not much variation in market dynamics to make up for prestige.
For example, take your top 7 big 12 candidates and compare attendance or viewership to Utah the last 4 full seasons?
