The mutual respect between Americans and Japanese, generally, is an incredible
footnote in world history.
To be close diplomatic allies with as much shared and mutually appreciated culture between us not even 100 years after a bitter and devastating war is almost miraculous.
Of course you can find people in Japan with anti-American sentiments if you go looking for them. But they are a very small minority.
