I have a car payment that is about $800 a month
Bought my wife a car that was like 47,000 with taxes and everything just over 50k.
And financed the whole thing taxes and everything 0.9% interest in summer of 2021. We had a car that had a trade in value of 33k but we financed the whole amount and they wrote us a check at for the 33k. At .9% it just didn't make sense to not finance it all.

Such a drag on your monthly cashflow and on an item that goes down in value with literally every mile you drive.

But if he could afford it, he made the smart decision. The $33,000 is worth way more than the $800 a month.
