^^^ Good point. The "victims" in schemes like this are often negligent or...
...willfully blind, choosing to invest in something that claims to return 50% with "little to no risk" and with non-disclosure agreements and "don't tell anyone," etc. I understand everybody feels victimized when the house of cards falls down, but it's hard to see someone who knowingly jumps into a textbook Ponzi scheme as a wholly-innocent victim.

...and for those who suggest that the marketers and investors were simply "duped" or tricked, these are people who owned businesses, had substantial disposable wealth to invest, and were otherwise financially literate and savvy individuals. Why did they become victims? Because they ignored the many, many red flags going off because they wanted to get rich with no risk or effort.
