That’s the point.

Nobody is saying that 8 consecutive Elite 8 appearances isn’t impressive. But when playing in a garbage conference means an NCAA appearance is guaranteed, and also that a high seed is virtually guaranteed (because they rarely have more than 5 or 6 losses given their weak conference schedule), I’m not as impressed as you want me to be.

And if they weren’t overhyped, you’d think they would convert just one of these Sweet 16 berths (often with the advantages a #1 seed gets even on the second weekend) into a national championship. But nope.
