It’s 2023 not 2013
Your applying old tropes to Gonzaga with the they cruise to the tournament with a super easy schedule and therefore get a high seed narrative.

In the last 7 seasons Gonzaga has played 36 games against ranked teams prior to the NCAA tournament and posted a 24-12 record in those games. The 7 seasons prior they played only 19 games against ranked teams prior to the tournament with a 6-13 record.

So you bring forth Villanova?

22-23 Villanova NIT. Gonzaga Sweet 16 maybe more
21-22 Villanova Final Four. Gonzaga Sweet 16
20-21 Villanova Sweet 16. Gonzaga National Runner up
19-20 No tourney. Villanova finished ranked 10. Gonzaga 2
18-19 Villanova. 2nd round. Gonzaga Elite 8.

We are now at 5 seasons. How in the world would anybody say Villanova has been better than Gonzaga? Let’s continue.

17-18 Villanova National Title. Gonzaga Sweet 16

Tourney win total 2018 to present. Villanova 13. Gonzaga 14.

16-17. Villanova 2nd round. Gonzaga National Runner up.

Tourney win total 2017 to present. Villanova 14. Gonzaga 19.

Villanova hasn’t been as good as Gonzaga over the last 5,6, or 7 years despite winning a national title.

Shall we do Kansas?

22-23 2nd round
21-22 National Title
20-21 2nd round
19-20 ranked #1
18-19 2nd round

Kansas 9 tourney wins vs Gonzaga 12.

North Carolina? They aren’t even close

22-23 No tourney
21-22 National Runner up
20-21 first round
19-20 14-19 overall record
18-19 Sweet 16

Baylor? Beat Gonzaga in the final. Other seasons, not even close.

Virginia? Stop.

National Titles are cool. But when you start stacking seasons Gonzaga has been better than everyone over the last few years.
