...and now you insist that the Big12 would welcome the Ewe with a red carpet? Sounds eerily similar to what delusions yewts are using in their denial phase. Weird, for someone using the "we" pronoun as though you're a BYU fan.
Let's be honest again: Yewts are leaches. There's not one reason the Big12 would add the Ewe. Here are the logic based reasons the Big12 would add any team:
1. New time zone (as stated by Yormark himself). Yewts don't offer this. In fact, they'd have games competing for eyeballs in the same time zone as an existing member.
2. New recruiting markets. Yewts don't offer this. In fact, they'd compete for and split recruits in a major way with an existing member
3. New viewing demographic/market. Yewts don't offer this. In fact, they'd compete for and cannibalize viewership with an existing member.
And for more delusional reasons yewts like to point to but aren't actual logical reasons to add a team:
1. Level of competition. Yewts have taken advantage of a couple of up years in their absolute dumpster fire of a conference. In the two years they've won the PAC, they've gone WINLESS in Out of Conference P5 games and 1 - 5 in OOC FBS games overall. Their trumpeting an embarrassing loss in the Rose Bowl and its corresponding Participation Award brings nothing but shame.
And then there's basketball...
2. Academics. As much as yewts love to trumpet this and brand the Big12 as a Truck Stop Conference, the truth is they don't bring these. They're an open enrollment school with "nothing special" academics at best. They would not add any academic prestige, and the school is often the "safety" school for those who couldn't get into existing member BYU, but not the other way around
3. Research. Cold fusion. Wow, thanks.
And then there's this one that got them into the PAC12 - being the "Not BYU." Oops, the Big12 already invited BYU so that lightning ain't striking twice.
So, "being honest," it's fun to see Karma do her work and sink the yewts in (and maybe by) the same conference they so obnoxiously gloated about joining. Right now, the best yewts can hope for is Oregon and Washington staying so they can suck their blood for a little while longer. But it's not happening in the Big12.
Leaches.
