Really bad is not FAR better than terrible
Winder was really bad offensively his first two seasons and then got quite good his last two. And he was always good defensively.
Stewart is terrible offensively but great defensively. If he can improve into a non-liability on offense, he is worth keeping.
The comparison is just fine. There is no implication that they are the same player, merely that a great defensive player is worth keeping around to see if he can become competent on the offensive end.
