I could have sworn that Pope even mentioned he had some sort of shoulder injury around the start of conference play too, but I can’t find any reports of that so maybe I’m making it up. If that is true, maybe the downturn in production can be attributed to that?
But he had a number of productive games as a reserve before conference play.
Creighton- 2-3 from the field, 5 points, 8 rebounds in 18 minutes
Nicholl’s State- 3-6 from the field, 7 points, 7 rebounds in 15 minutes
Missouri state- 5-6 (all from 3), 15 points and 2 rebounds in 12 minutes
Lindenwood- 5-10, 13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks in 26 minutes
Weber State- 4-7, 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists in 29 minutes
As you can see, he showed early he can be a contributor even with reserve minutes. But most on here will remember him for his underwhelming shooting in conference since that was the last taste he left.
