This is a dry run, or a draft. This contract sets precedents for the future.

I don't know all the details, but I think that is probably what Apple wants to see and work out. What language is in the contract about Detail A and Detail B? Apple cares because what happens with those details will be part of why they are successful or not successful with making a run at BigTen eventually.

That is what I mean.

As several had said, "reupping" with the same partner is easy. Signing a whole new contract is alot more involved. That is where Apple is, I think, it all this.
