greater negative impacts on others. Nobody is forcing ND (or the SEC) to travel (and they aren’t). It’s great if you can put together a great schedule and never leave your half of your timezone — and then there’s the other half of the country. Should everyone west of the Mississippi give up sports because it requires travel?
As a side note: some kids use sports to pay for their schooling and some are drawn to education as a means of continuing their participation in their sports.
