This is a great post. What other careers are especially suitable for those who
want to be SAHMs for some period of life in that they allow flexible schedules, easy to re-enter/stay in the work force, and provide a quality salary? Also, preferably a job that isn't in danger of becoming obsolete due to automation/AI. Of course nursing and teaching are popular in this category.

My wife has recently gone back into teaching violin students. She enjoys it thoroughly and can do it from home. It's a great way for our kids to watch her work. She can easily scale it to just a few students per week or many more. She could charge more than she does, but it's a nice supplement to our income.

My kids will choose whatever career they want, but it would be nice to give them advice on careers that have flexible options and will always be in high demand.
