I bet she didn’t even leave a note. Sounds like a lie. No one would actually put a note on the bumper on the ground.
She probably panicked and didn’t know what to do. And then she just left to avoid the confrontation. When her husband asked if she left a note she was embarrassed and made up a story that included an explanation for why the person never called.
