with our many foibles. What I hate isn't that racism, discrimination and etc exists, but that we have to continually talk about it. For me, it is not that it exists, it does, but what am I doing to lessen its importance within my community and my family. You want to experience racism? Go into a community where you are the minority and the dominant race has the positions of power. If you're in a community where you're the dominant race but not in positions of power, it changes the dynamic.
Besides, people act like it's endemic to America. Ask native American populations in Mexico, Central and South America feel. Or how certain tribes treat each other on the African continent? Ask Spaniards how Europeans treat them. Of course, we need to become better people. I just detest those individuals who continue to play the victim card.
