Are the stud threads reversed?

1) Some dumb engineers thought that would be a cool idea.

2) Also, sometimes the kids at the tire shop get a little too excited and torque them down 1000 lbs. a breaker bar can be rented from the auto parts store for free.

Check with 1, then with 2.

Use a crowbar that is leveraged off the suspension. It will come right off.
