He put "Not BYU" in quotes. That means in other areas people would drink to

show how "not Quaker" or how "not Amish" or "not Mormon" or whatever other local school or population is near them. They clearly wouldn't be drinking to show how not BYU they are. That's silly. But what's equally silly is anyone else in the country simply drinking to show how not "insert non drinking population here" they are.
